Essential oils are the volatile liquids that are distilled from plants. Many factors are involved in determining the quality of an essential oil. The chemical properties in each oil are what make the oil the most potent (Grade A). These properties are affected by the geographical region in which the plant is grown in, including the climate, the fertilizer used, the harvest season, and the harvest method used, altitude, soil conditions, the parts of the plant that are used for oil and the distillation process.
